Barley’s Coffee Shop

About us:

We were established in June 2021 after lockdown was lifted to promote use of our newly refurbished Parish Hall and to provide a welcoming venue for the community to meet and chat, The Coffee House is run solely by volunteers, and operates on a donation basis, we have been delighted by the generosity of our customers.

Our name has an interesting history, why not come and read about it in Barley’s.

We are based in the lovely bright conservatory with a fabulous deck for use when the weather is kind.

We are fully accessible and offer free parking.

Well behaved dogs are welcome.

It was quickly realised what a great asset the Coffee House has become to the village and we already have many regulars.

There is always a warm welcome from our lovely team of volunteers and gorgeous homemade cakes are provided by our amazing village bakers.

We would love to see you as a customer or volunteer. Please come along for some company and cake.

New Volunteers Always Welcome

There is a wide range of jobs that need doing, some on a daily basis , some occasional. We have something to suit anyone with a little time, who would like to help keep us going.

Volunteers regularly say that they have got to know many more of their neighbours and fellow villagers since working in the coffee shop and how much they have benefitted from the experience. We are a friendly bunch and have occasional volunteer get-togethers.

The more people who volunteer, the easier it becomes to share the duties .

Full training is provided  and new volunteers will always work alongside more experienced colleagues until they are comfortable in their role.
