About Us

Cheswardine Parish Hall is a Community Hub serving the residents of Cheswardine and surrounding areas since 1930

The objects of the charity as laid out in the 1930s Conveyance are to have a committee that manage and maintain the Parish Hall with the purpose of physical and mental recreation and social, moral, and intellectual development, for the benefit of all inhabitants without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ethnic, religious or other opinions.

  • To provide a community hub for the benefit of Cheswardine Village and the Parish
  • To be inclusive and accessible
  • To preserve and enhance the Parish Hall facility.
  • To enhance the community spirit of the Parish.

To be environmentally conscious.

We try to achieve these aims and value by delivering activities and services to improve the lives of residents by:

  • Reducing rural isolation
  • Improving community cohesion
  • Improving people’s mental and physical well-being
  • Enable people to acquire new life skills and become active citizens, and create a   stronger community
  • Provide facilities to enable local businesses to grow
  • Provide cost effective facilities for our users

The Hall is run by a group of Trustees who volunteer to run and manage the hall and its facilities for the benefit of the Parish. If you would like to make any suggestions, hire the hall, set up classes or community groups, or volunteer for any of the existing groups please contact us.
